Get ready, book lovers! The Jólabókaflóð tradition in Iceland is heading to Juneau! Dive into a flood of fresh reads, discover new favorites, and chat with fellow fans in person. Whether you’re into cozy mysteries or epic adventures, there’s something here for everyone. Have fun as we exchange books, sip craft or non-alcoholic brews (Icelandic sips: hot cocoa), enjoy shared appetizers, and settle into some quiet literary bliss.

If you’d like to take part in the exchange, bring a wrapped book from your own collection, or pick one up at The Amazing Bookstore run by Friends of the Library (Airport Mall by Donna’s Restaurant)—- write a few key words about the book without disclosing the author or title. Suggested value: Free–$5.

We’ll enjoy an hour of pure silent reading from 1:30–2:30 PM, surrounded by the warmth of fellow book lovers (minus the pressure to socialize). RSVP required for an accurate headcount.
